ITM provides software development, structural and mechanical testing, industrial monitoring, strain gauging, and data analysis to clients on five continents — and is a recognized National Instruments (NI) Partner.
The story
“Launched in a basement in 2001. Patented by 2004. A software company by 2007. On five continents today.”
ITM was founded by Tim Carlier in 2001 to help companies reduce costs and improve efficiencies across product development, manufacturing, and production. Launched in his basement, Tim added his first employee and opened the Milford, Ohio office a few months later. In 2004, ITM was awarded a patent on a boiler monitoring, feedback, and control process that helps clients reduce energy costs.
The next breakthrough came when an international off-highway client hired ITM to build a custom software package for data delivery — the genesis of iTestSystem, which launched formally in 2007. ITM grew from a firm offering hardware and services into one delivering complete custom software solutions.
Since then, ITM has helped companies in pulp & paper, automotive, off-highway, aerospace, consumer products, machine tool, medical, and other manufacturing markets realize a wide range of savings — including cutting energy consumption by up to 40 percent, eliminating costly mechanical failures, and streamlining product design and testing.

Tim Carlier
Engineer · President · Founder. Focused on growing the company and mentoring his team — an inventor and entrepreneur at heart, passionate about innovating around renewable energy that benefits clients and leaves the planet better than he found it.
Mark Yeager
Engineer · Lead Programmer. Certified LabVIEW Architect (CLA), Certified LabVIEW Embedded Designer (CLED), and CAT III Vibration Analyst. Also oversees marketing.
Ryan Welker
Engineer · VP of Operations. A 25-year veteran in engineering, procurement, and project management. Oversees daily operations and every phase of project fulfillment — proposals, scheduling, installations, and support.
Josh Fishback
Administrative Director. Manages ITM finances plus time, equipment use, and billing across client projects — the jack of all trades behind the engineering.

Facility & careers
ITM operates from 227 Water Street, Suite 300, Milford, OH 45150 — specimen prep, harness fabrication, calibration, and software development under one roof. The team runs co-op-to-engineer staffing depth with the University of Cincinnati, alongside CAT II/III vibration analysts and certified LabVIEW architects.
