How ITM’s people and engineering depth deliver aerospace-grade harness quality, faster and more efficiently.
Test System Harnesses, Engineered End-to-End
Test system cable harnesses are the connective tissue between a test article and the data acquisition system that records it — strain gauge lead wires, sensor cabling, signal-conditioner runs, and DAQ interconnects. Whether the article is a launch vehicle airframe, an off-highway powertrain, or a defense subsystem on a structural rig, every signal travels through a harness. When reliability matters, you need a partner who understands the instrumentation end-to-end — not just the cable.
At Integrated Test & Measurement (ITM), precision harness fabrication is a core service delivered by the same engineers who design data acquisition systems and the same technicians who install precision strain gauges on flight hardware. Every harness is fabricated, inspected, and documented at our facility in Milford, Ohio.
Our People Are the Difference
What separates ITM from a commodity wire shop is depth. Our technicians terminate high-density aerospace connectors, hand-solder surface mount components, install precision strain gauges on flight-critical hardware, and verify every conductor in every bundle — all under direct engineering oversight. That convergence of fabrication craft, instrumentation expertise, and software and hardware engineering, all under one roof, is ITM’s competitive advantage.
What We Build
- Test System Harnesses — Multi-conductor assemblies with high-density circular connectors, twisted shielded pairs and triads, point-to-point continuity verified, lengths from short jumpers to runs over 200 feet.
- Strain Gauge Harnesses — Full-, half-, and quarter-bridge configurations on flight hardware and ground test articles; bonding, lead wire routing, strain relief, shunt calibration, and full documentation.
- Edge Electronics and Control Panels — Custom signal conditioning boards, IoT sensor nodes, and complete electrical control panels for test systems, monitoring installations, and edge deployments.
Engineering Solutions That Save Customers Time and Money
ITM doesn’t just rely on the skill of our team — we continuously invest in engineering solutions that increase quality, improve throughput, and reduce cost. When we identify a bottleneck in our process, we engineer our way through it. The savings show up directly in faster builds and more competitive pricing, with full continuity checks and documentation on every harness.
Why Aerospace, Off-Highway, and Defense Customers Choose ITM
Aerospace structural test programs demand precision and traceability — and a large share of the harness work that comes through our shop for aerospace is strain gauge harness fabrication, where the bridge signal from each gauge has to make it cleanly back to the conditioner over runs that can stretch the length of a test cell.
Off-highway OEMs need durable, cost-effective harnesses that survive punishing environments. ITM brings decades of RLDA, structural testing, and embedded monitoring experience on haul trucks, excavators, drill rigs, and agricultural equipment worldwide.
For military and defense work, the same engineering rigor translates directly to mil-spec test labs, prime contractors, and DoD-funded programs with traceability and documentation requirements that don’t bend.
Domestic manufacturing in Milford, Ohio. Over 20 years of LabVIEW development expertise, backed by CLD, CLA, and CLED-certified engineers. Full traceability on every harness.
Let’s Talk About Your Next Harness Build
Whether you’re building rockets, the equipment that moves mountains, or the hardware that keeps our forces ready, ITM delivers harness fabrication you won’t find anywhere else.
If you already have an open quote with us, your ITM contact is glad to confirm current lead times and talk through where your build would fit on the schedule whenever it’s convenient.

Here at Integrated Test & Measurement, we love diving into the nuts and bolts of how things work. While setting up a project using 120-ohm strain gages with the NI-9237 module, I found myself reflecting on the history and technical reasons why 120 ohms became the original standard for strain gages. As it turns out,…
