A 25-year veteran of the engineering industry, Rob has spent the last 15 years dedicated to engineering-related testing. As a technical consultant at Integrated Test and Measurement (ITM), he brings extensive experience in all aspects of managing engineering test projects.

Senior Technical Consultant, Integrated Test and Measurement (ITM)

A 25-year veteran of the engineering industry, Rob has spent the last 15 years dedicated to engineering-related testing. As a technical consultant at Integrated Test and Measurement (ITM), he brings extensive experience in all aspects of managing engineering test projects.

In his career, Rob has managed projects for several high-profile companies, including: Ford Motor Companty, Caterpillar, John Deere, and Cummins. Rob has been responsible for managing all phases of these projects, including proposals, test plans, team management, budget management, test execution, and final presentation. He has been involved with projects in the transportation, aerospace, agriculture, and amusement ride markets.

In addition to his work with itm, Rob currently serves as senior project engineer for SixDOF Testing & Analysis, where his projects include data acquisition, transducer fabrication, engineering design, and customer training. His projects range from obtaining FAA component certification and analyzing fatigue issues to the design and manufacture of aircraft-based insect release machines. Rob has extensive experience using acquisition hardware from Somat, Optim, HP, and National Instruments. He has analyzed and processed data with Somat, Ncode, and Matlab software.

Prior to his experience at SixDOF Testing & Analysis, Rob worked as a project engineer at Manta Corp, where he worked on a variety of projects, including:

  • Managing 225 channel load programs from planning, vehicle build and data collection to data analysis for customers in the automotive industry;
  • Modal testing of rotating equipment and supporting foundations.
  • Strain data collection on large wheel and axial fans;
  • Multi-plane dynamic balancing on rotating equipment, ranging from large wheel fans to small turbine powered gen-sets;
  • Managing “Ride Quality” projects on many steel and wood roller coasters located in major parks in the United States and Mexico as well as strain testing on ride support structures and chassis;
  • Modal testing on large aircraft machining centers, focusing on chatter issues; and
  • Vibration and fatigue testing in industries such as paper production machines, steel mills, plastic extruders, food production equipment, and chemical production.

Prior to his work at Manta Corp., Rob served as a customer support and electrical engineer at Robotics Research Corp., where he was part of an engineering team assembled to design and build state-of-the-art robotic manipulators for use in space, nuclear, and medical applications.

Prior to Robotics Research Corp. he worked at Cincinnati Milacron Inc. as a research specialist in the company’s Advanced Technology Robotic Research group.

Rob has an A.S. in Electro-Mechanical Engineering from Cincinnati State College.
